How to flash and Unbrick any MTK device without errors

You need the following before starting the process

1. USB cable 

2. PC with pre-installed MTK drivers

    If you have not installed it yet click here to download and install free

3. Bricked MTK device

4. Sp flashtool

5. The firmware file for your phone.
     Here is how to find the exact firmware for your MTK phone


Now it is simple to flash it
1. extract the firmware
2. extract SP flash tool
3. Open the Flash tool folder and run the flash tool, wait for it to open
4. Click scatter loading and locate the folder of extracted firmware, open and select text file written with this format  MT6xx_Android_scatter, open it and wait for loading files.
5. Click download on Sp flash tool and insert the USB to already turned off phone. Will start with the red line ⇛ pink ⇛ Yellow line till 100% and green tick then disconnect your phone and power it up

How to Find and Download the exact Firmware for any bricked MTK phone

Why do you need to find, download and re-flash the exact firmware as your phone has?
The answer is simple, two phones of the same model number and name can have two different software versions installed based on regions or any other reason. So If you cross-flash these firmware can cause massive damage to your phone and may be leading it to dead mode.

In order to avoid any of the problems above or even wasting your data package on files you wont use here is the simple tricks you can use

First, Try to boot your MTK Device to recovery mode then read the firmware id written on top of the recovery menu and search as it is on your browser

  eg. TECNO-J5__5.1__J5-H801-A1-L-20151103

now compare the search results with your search request and open the link having the same description as your recovery firmware id. download and Flash this firmware

Second, If you can not find the recovery firmware id. You will need to download miracle crack, then open it choose mtk tab read info, take off the battery and reinsert it back and then insert USB without powering on the device. If Miracle crack wont detect your device you will need to download and install MTK drivers

After reading process completes find the id line and search it on your browser to find the firmware.

How to install CDC gadget drivers.

Make sure you have download the zip file from this link here and extract it.

Open device manager on your PC.

Now Boot your MTK device to meta mode or use your flash tool to boot it to meta mode. If you don't have any of the flash tool to boot your device to meta mode try this here.

Insert your USB connected device while its on meta mode, On your device manager under Ports(COM & LPT)  you will find either MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port with uninstalled drivers (yellow marker) or USB Serial port with clean drivers or yellow marker.

How to install All MTK USB drivers for windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7

First download MediaTek USB VCOM drivers[how2flash4n].zip and extract it on your desktop or desired folder

Now right click my computer for windows 7&8 user or this PC for windows 10 user then select manage, on the left panel click device manager.

My computer/ This PC ⇨ Manage ⇨ Device manager

Now insert your switched off MTK device while your attention is at the right panel of the device manager, as soon as the PC respond to inserted device the new device on your device manager will popup with yellow marker (mt65xx preloader), right click this device and choose Update driver software.

     

Now select Browse my computer for driver software, locate the folder you extracted at the first stage open MediaTek USB VCOM drivers ⇒ mt65xxx and CDC ⇒ USB VCOM Driver then choose the folder for your respective windows but for windows 7/8/8.1 and 10 chose the last folder then click OK then Next wait for the installation to complete. 

How to install CDC gadget drivers.

Make sure you have downloaded the zip file on the link above.

Open device manager on your PC.

How to identify the chip set of the phone and install drivers

As we mentioned the types of chip sets we can find among our phones and now is the time you identify them.

You need Windows PC and corresponding USB cable for the phone you are trying to flash

For Windows 10, 8.1, 8. 7, Vista and XP click start and open my computer or you can direct open file manager from desktop and right click (option) at My computer or This Pc

Here hover your mouse to manage as shown above, then select manage. If there will be a popup window which asks you to give a permission to manage your Pc just click yes or other wise wait for it to open.

After the computer management opened now on your left panel click Device manager, make sure you mark any unknown device on your right panel. Unknown devices are those with yellow marker so that when you insert the phone only added marker will stand for your new inserted phone.

Now power off your phone and then insert the USB cable while looking for any new unknown device showing, If it is either MTK, SPD (SCI) or Quallicomm(QHSUB) it will show like one of the following on the phone

Note: the photo above shows the all three chip set phones are inserted at the same time.
If the phone starts to charge remove it and hold volume down while inserting usb and look again, if not shown then remove the phone, disconnect the battery and reinsert it and hold both volume up and volume down while you insert the USB cable and look. You should see one of the above drivers

Voilah...... the chip set identified.
But why does it shows the yellow marker on it? it is because your computer does not have the drivers for your inserted phone so don't panic and follow my next tutorial on how to install phone drivers for flashing
